When to Spend 50PV vs 100PV when Earning with Young Living
When you are first getting started with the business, you need to spend 50PV monthly in order to earn an income with Young Living. (This is a GOOD thing because it means that you are using the products and this makes you believable and relatable as you share your love of Young Living with others.) But after you've been earning for a few months, you may want to spend 100PV in order to get ALL the commission that is coming to you. Keep reading to get the details!
Every time you sell a starter kit to someone, you earn $50. (You earn $25 Starter Kit Bonus and $25 Fast Start Bonus)
Fast Start means that you earn 25% bonus (Fast Start Bonus) on a new member’s PV during their first 3 months of membership. (Let’s say Kate joins on April 30th. Her Fast Start period will be April, May, and June.)
You need to spend 50PV in a given month to collect Fast Start Bonus for that month.
Starting with the 4th month of a new member’s enrollment, you will earn Unilevel Commission (rather than Fast Start Bonus) on that member’s PV.
Unilevel Commission means that you earn:
8% commission on the PV of your Level 1 members
5% commission on the PV of your Level 2 members
4% commission on the PV of your Level 3 members
You need to spend 100PV in a given month to collect Unilevel Commission for that month.
I know, I know, it can be confusing!
Think of it this way:
You need to spend 50PV to collect Fast Start and Starter Kit BONUS. You do not need to be on ER to collect BONUS.
You need to spend 100PV to collect COMMISSION once a new member is no longer in their Fast Start period. You do not need to be on ER to collect COMMISSION.
However, when you’re on ER at 100PV, then you are automatically eligible to receive all Bonus AND Commissions, as well as free product from Young Living.
If you’re trying to decide if you should spend 50PV or 100PV this month, ask yourself:
Did I sell a starter kit this month? If yes, you are eligible for Bonus and should spend 50PV.
Did someone I previously enrolled sell a starter kit this month? If yes, you earn 10% Bonus on the PV of that order and should spend 50PV.
Did someone I previously enroll place an order this month? If yes, then you are eligible for Bonus OR Commission (depending on how long that member has been enrolled) and you should spend 50PV to collect Bonus or 100PV to collect Commission.
Did anyone else in my organization place an order or sell a starter kit this month? If yes, then you are eligible to collect Commission and should spend 100PV.
If you’re still not sure (and believe me, it took me a LONG TIME to grasp the compensation plan so I am right there with ya if you’re still confused) then reach out to the person who enrolled you, or reach out to Rachel, and together we will help you figure out how much you’ll be earning this month so that you know whether you should spend 50PV or 100PV.
